Child's Toy Truck

Made in the style of a band saw box, this is a great toy for boys and girls alike.  Solid, rugged and full of character, your young one will love this hand made gift.

Simple Toy Helicopter

This toy was designed with the young ones in mind.  Its simple shapes and basic design make it a perfect project to get your young one in the shop to make this for themselves and inspire a whole new generation of woodworkers.

Part two of this series, brings you the finale of the rocking chair build and places all the finishing touches on your weekend project.  With the assistance of this two part series and the pdf template patterns, this is a very obtainable project for any level of woodworking skill.

Shop Made Fraction Calculator

After using a commercially available fraction calculator on the show and having several viewers ask how they could get their own, I discovered that the unit was discontinued and no longer available.  Not to be discouraged, I ended up designing my own shop made version of the calculator to provide a way for anyone who wanted one to have access to it.  An easy project that will provide flawless addition and subtraction of fractions, you will wonder how you ever got along without it.

Wooden Pot Scapers

While this project is one of the more simple projects in the "free patterns' section, it is also one of the most useful.  A very handy item for getting the stuck on messes from your pots and pans without the harshness of soap pads or steel wool.  It's also a great way to use up scrap material in your shop and makes a wonderful gift.

"Now Playing" Vinyl Record Stand

When I was approached by a friend to make this project, I just couldn't say no.  A fun and challenging project that incorporates scroll saw and table saw work as well as adding some challenging elements like epoxy resin and electrical soldering.  It's a great project that will definitely be a conversation piece in your home.

Toy Skid Steer

Don't let its small size fool you, this little skid steer is packed with playability.  A smooth rolling and functional toy with a working bucket, it has plenty of elements to challenge your creative side while still being a very doable project for the woodworking novice.  It's also a great way to use up smaller pieces of scrap in your shop.

If you have a friend or family member who is known for their procrastination, this is the project for you.  For those who say that they will do something when get "around to it", now is your opportunity to call their bluff with this quirky and fun project.  Give them a gift of a "round tuit" and end the procrastination.

Continuing with my construction vehicle toys, this one is sure to be a challenge.  Utilizing a multi-layered body to give details such as operator steps, fenders and a driver's seat, this fully functional toy is sure to please.  Just a solid, functional and fun toy.

While this toy build looks complicated, it is really quite simple to make.  Laminating different layers together, gives the toy a great look and wonderful details that is sure to be loved by your young ones.
